Mementos: Arij's pictures (1968), part 3

A view from the water tower. In the foreground the basketball pitch, a bit further off the laundry and behind that what is still called Mishka's tower, the grain silo, which is not in use anymore. On the right the dairy with the silage tower which stands empty too today (There are cheaper ways for storing silage)

The chicken sheds as seen from the water tower, none of these are used for keeping chickens anymore.

Turkeys, which were looked after by Bella and Israel and their "Swiss" (For years all volunteers, apart from Argentinians who were not deemed to be worthy of it, were called "Swiss" here on the kibbutz.)

Shammai is helping Bella with the vaccinations. He has since become a history teacher and written his dissertation on the philosopher Husserl. Bella is not with us anymore.
